Every DSA-Sec applicant hears back by 28 August 2026, but a confirmed offer only becomes an actual place once the PSLE score fits the school's Posting Group.

MOE states that every child who applied for DSA-Sec will receive their outcome directly from the school by Friday, 28 August 2026. That is 11 days from today, and results do not come through a central portal or a single announcement, each school notifies its own applicants.
This follows the selection season that has been running since applications closed in June, when schools held interviews, auditions and trials. The 28 August date is simply the point at which that process ends and every school has to have told its applicants where they stand.

MOE's own language is careful here: a confirmed offer means your child has a reserved place, not a guaranteed one. To actually take it up, the PSLE score has to land inside the Posting Group that school offers for DSA-Sec. MOE gives a concrete example: if a school only offers Posting Group 3, the child needs a PSLE score of 4 to 22 to qualify.
So the talent that earned the offer and the score that confirms it are two separate things, and both have to hold up before the seat is real.
Students with a confirmed offer or a wait list spot submit up to 3 school preferences through the DSA-Sec Portal, from 9am on Monday, 19 October 2026 to 4.30pm on Friday, 23 October 2026. School allocation results are then released together with PSLE results, tentatively on Tuesday, 24 November or Wednesday, 25 November 2026.

A child who does not get a DSA-Sec place still moves ahead through S1 Posting, if eligible, using the PSLE score in the usual way. This route sits alongside the DSA-JC pathway some families are also watching for the next stage after Secondary school.
If the outcome that lands on 28 August says confirmed offer, it is tempting to relax completely. I would hold that feeling loosely, because a confirmed offer is a reserved seat, not a guaranteed one, and the PSLE score still has to land inside whatever Posting Group the school offers.
In three years of tutoring, I have watched families treat the confirmed offer as the finish line and ease off in the months before PSLE, only to scramble in November when the score comes back just outside the Posting Group the offer depended on. The talent earned the seat, but the grade still has to hold it.
So whatever your child's outcome this week, confirmed, wait listed or not, keep the PSLE preparation steady all the way to November. A confirmed offer is genuinely something to be proud of, and it is also the reason to keep working, not the reason to stop.
No. Once admitted through DSA-Sec, a student cannot submit school choices during S1 Posting, and cannot transfer to another secondary school after PSLE results are released. MOE requires the family to honour the commitment for the duration of the DSA-Sec programme.
Students who do not submit any school preference are posted to a school with remaining vacancies, based on their official registered address, and only after every student who did submit choices has already been posted. Because vacancies are limited by then, the school assigned may not be near the child's registered address.
