When are the 2026 N-Level results released?

MOE lists the 2026 GCE N(A)- and N(T)-Level results as released tentatively between Thursday, 17 December and Monday, 21 December 2026. The exact day is not on MOE's page yet. What happens on the day is in our guide to N-Level results day.

What to do after results

Each route has its own entry rules, so each has its own guide rather than a summary here. Our overview of the five routes after N-Levels puts them side by side.

Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP)

A one-year programme at a polytechnic that leads into a polytechnic diploma. Our guide: how the PFP works.

Direct-Entry-Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)

A Higher Nitec course at ITE that can lead on to a polytechnic diploma. Our guide: the DPP route to poly.

ITE

Nitec and Higher Nitec courses at the Institute of Technical Education. The routes into ITE are in our overview of the five routes.

Secondary 5

A fifth year at secondary school. Whether it suits your child is a results-day conversation with the school; the five routes guide sets it beside the others.

Retaking a subject

From 2027 the national examination is the SEC. Our guide covers retaking as a private candidate, and the 2027 change.

Is 2026 the last N-Level?

Yes, as the GCE N-Level. SEAB says that in 2027 the Singapore-Cambridge GCE N(T)-, N(A)- and O-Levels will be combined and renamed as the Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC), which makes the 2026 cohort the last to sit the N-Level under that name. How subjects are taken at G1, G2 and G3 is in our guide to Full Subject-Based Banding.

Getting ready for Sec 5

If your child is going on to Sec 5, the weeks after results are a good time to go back to the subjects that felt hardest in October, while the papers are still fresh, and to settle into a steady weekly rhythm before the new school year. You can browse Secondary 5 tuition centres on Podsee and ask any of them about a class on WhatsApp.

Podsee's Take

The timetable set the pace, and the panic was optional. Before the first paper I wrote that every instinct in the house said revise everything, every night, until 13 October, and that a parent who was not doing that could feel like a parent who was not helping. The advice was to look at the shape of the thing before the pile of notes.

SEAB laid this run out as two waves: English, the languages and humanities from 14 September to 24 September, then 10 clear days with no paper at all, then Mathematics, the Sciences and Accounts from 5 October. In three years of tutoring, the students who came through a run like this well were almost never the ones who tried to carry every subject at once. They worked to the paper in front of them, closed it, and moved on to the next one because the calendar told them to.

The papers are done, and the same habit is worth keeping for December. Read up on the routes one at a time in the weeks before results, rather than all at once on the day. It was a series of short races with a rest built in, not one long one, and the next stretch works the same way.
